Easy finger foods and finger food easy recipes
If you want to try preparing the food in a new way, you might try finger food easy recipes. The major benefit of finger food is that you don’t need any utensils for eating it. You can eat it with your hands and fingers. The beauty of finger food is that it is prepared so quickly and you can eat it in so many occasions.
I always make easy finger foods when I’m on vacation or when I want to have quick and easy, but in a certain way, a little bit special dinner. I don’t like long cooking in the summer and it is not even recommended if you follow the healthy summer diet guidelines. So, I enjoy those cozy dinners, when I make tasty little peaces and use nothing but my fingers to eat them.
I choose very often finger food for nice dinner with my husband. We experience new fulfilling tastes, eat with our fingers and enjoy our special moments.
Which ingredients can you use in finger food easy recipes?
Easy Finger Foods Base
First you need some base to even start making those little peaces. You can choose among different food, either bread or vegetables. It all depends on your taste and wishes.
- Bread and all variations of bread is mostly used as a base in many finger food easy recipes. Bread should be cut into small peaces to make one bite. Baguette can be also used, also cut into small peaces. Great taste can give salty crackers. Toast can also be a very good base, but you should half it to form a triangle.
- Vegetables make a great finger food base, when you want to have little rolls stuffed with meat or cheese. The best vegetables for rolls are eggplant and zucchini. You can put some smoked ham inside and get the complete meal. Spinach or grapes leaves can be used for little meat rolls or sushi.
- You can also use vegetables as a base, but in its initial form. Cherry tomatoes are tasty when stuffed with cheese. Zucchini can also be cut in half and stuffed with cheese and vegetables.
- Eggs can be stuffed with egg yolk and cheese.
Finger Food Spread
Some finger food asks for a spread and some just don’t. If you want to put a little cheese on the top of the peace of bread or a cracker you will need some spread. But, if you use salmon or caviar or any other food that has a very strong taste by itself, spread maybe a good to leave out.
If you decided to make tiny sandwiches finger food, you might need to put a spread. The best spread for easy finger foods is pate. You can choose the one you like the most. But, my choice would definitely be tuna or salmon pate. I like eating them in summer, because they are made of fish and I generally eat lots of fish during summer time. There is another spread that is actually characteristic for summer. It’s called humus. It’s made of chickpeas and it is very healthy. But, as spread is not mandatory, you can leave your bread or crackers empty and eat them just with some cheese, caviar and seasons.
Easy Finger Foods Filling
- The best filling for eggplant or zucchini rolls is ordinary ham, smoked ham or salmon. You can add some salad and you’ve got a complete and healthy meal.
- Spinach leaves are great when stuffed with minced meet and grapes rolls are tasty when stuffed with rice and carrot.
- You can also make stuffed tomatoes, eggs, and zucchini and as a filling you can use cottage cheese mixed with seasons and other vegetables.
Decorations in finger food easy recipes
Since finger food looks pretty fancy, why not put some more effort in its preparation and use some very interesting decorations. Those decorations should be eaten as well.
