How to Have Attractive Breasts after Breastfeeding

Are saggy breasts after breastfeeding everyone’s reality?

NOTICE: I know this is really not a breastfeeding category hub. However, I also know that every woman who used to breastfeed or is breastfeeding now might be interested in getting her breasts look sexy and attractive when they stop breastfeeding. So, I decided to put it here, rather than somewhere else.

Breasts are very special part of woman’s body. We all like to take good care of them. Some women like them more and some less. But, what we all have in common is that we want them to look nice and attractive. Having attractive and firm breasts is every woman’s dream.

But, as we get old and have a pregnancy or two, it becomes a serious task to have firm instead of saggy breasts.

Women have various options, from exercise, homemade masks and creams to specialized treatments in beauty salons. If you are persistent enough, it shouldn’t be a problem to maintain a beautiful skin and tone your breasts to look nice.

What happens during pregnancy and breastfeeding? You cannot build up your breasts like some other part of your body. Breasts are not composed of muscles and ligaments. Instead, they only have fatty tissue and that’s why they are prone to sagging. And, saggy breasts are something you would probably like to avoid if you have the possibility.

During pregnancy, due to specific hormones, breasts go through a process which prepares them for breastfeeding. The number of milk ducts grows and they become bigger. This is why women are faced with the enlargement of their breasts during pregnancy.

During breastfeeding, breasts become dense. They get bigger than usual because of milk production and the skin is stretched over time.

Engorgement or some inflammatory processes can leave them misshapen after breastfeeding. Breasts can be asymmetric; one can shrink over time, while the other stays the same.

Specific positions during breastfeeding, when the breasts are positioned downwards, can also affect their shape and cause saggy breasts.

All those conditions affect breasts in a negative way, causing them to look uneven, saggy and not very attractive.

Don't You Want to Have Attractive Breasts Too?

How to tone your breasts after breastfeeding

After breastfeeding, your breasts get empty. Milk ducts become smaller and the whole appearance changes. This is why it is important to take care of you breasts, especially when you stop breastfeeding.

During breastfeeding period, you breasts lose their firmness and elasticity. Changes in breasts structure depends on your genetics, skin elasticity and weight gain during pregnancy.

You can’t change much of your genetics, but you can work on breasts skin elasticity and take care of your weight. Gradual wean is also recommended, because it will allow the fat tissue to redeposit inside breasts. That will help them regain their pre-pregnancy looks sooner.

Your main goal is to let your breasts return to previous state and look nice and attractive. So, what can you do to achieve that?

Breasts Size after Breastfeeding

Breasts size is determined of the amount of fatty tissue you have. But, when it comes to breasts size after breastfeeding, it depends on how much weight you gained during pregnancy and period of breastfeeding. There is no magic trick you can use to make your breasts look bigger. If you gained a lot of weight after you gave birth, your breasts will look even bigger than before. But, if you returned to your pre-pregnancy weight or you are even thinner, your breasts will look smaller than before. What you can do is practice special exercise for breasts area to visually make them bigger.

Exercise after Breastfeeding

Moderate exercise after breastfeeding is necessary in order to improve your breasts tonus. As I already wrote, breasts don’t contain muscles. So, by exercising, you cannot firm them or lift them up. What you can do is strengthen the muscles which hold the breasts, which will improve their appearance. But, be careful not to over do it, as they might lose there appearance completely and become flat, which is something you definitely don’t want to happen.

Losing Too Much Weight Can Cause Saggy Breasts

Most women gain some weight during pregnancy. Sometimes, they don’t go back to their previous weight after breastfeeding. Women who breastfeed usually lose weight naturally and gradually. But, if you are not among them and you still have several pounds more, you probably want to get rid of them the moment you stop breastfeeding. But, be careful, not to go into some invasive diets. If you lose your weight too quickly, you will end up with small and saggy breasts. Instead, lose weight slowly. Change your diet, eat healthy and let your body adjust. That way, you will allow the fat tissue to form in the new way gradually. Your breast will be smaller, but your skin tonus will be better.

Proper Diet for Skin Elasticity after Breastfeeding

What you eat is very important for you breasts skin tonus. Specific diet will improve your circulation and your skin will look healthier and firmer. Reduce the intake of animal fat. Instead, eat lots of wholegrain cereals, legumes and green vegetables. We all pay more attention to our looks during spring and summer. Use this time to eat salads, olive oil and fresh fruits. Generally, eat food which is rich in vitamin B and E, because they help maintain skin’s elasticity and tonus.

Hot and Cold Shower to Improve Circulation

While you in a shower, try to exchange hot and cold water. This will improve your circulation and skin tonus. Finish your shower with cold water. That way your breasts will stay tense and you will lift them up visually.

Use of Serums and Creams after Breastfeeding

While you were breastfeeding, you probably didn’t use any creams, masks or serums, because you didn’t want your child to be disturbed by their smell. But, if you stopped breastfeeding, this is the right time for beauty treatments. Invest in a quality bust serum or cream and massage your breasts daily. Your skin will be soft, healthy and your breast will lift up a bit.

Treat Yourself with Beauty Treatments When You Stop Breastfeeding

If you want to go one step further, go to a beauty salon and treat yourself with some nice moments which will positively affect your looks in general. Your child is probably old enough to stay with a person you trust. Have some time for yourself; invest in a treatment that will lift you breasts up. It doesn’t have to be very expensive and you don’t have to go over and over again. Let yourself in the hands of experienced specialists and enjoy the result.

As somebody once said, our breasts have to serve us for a very long time. They have several functions, from producing milk for our youngest to increasing our self-confidence and mood. This is why it is important to keep them healthy and attractive. And I wouldn’t mind having them sexy as well!

Nice Hub, I took an all natural supplement for larger breast.

It didn't make me larger but it bought my breast back where they used to be, which was fine for me.

I had 3 children. Saggy breast are no joke. Go to GNC or health food store.

Try the DREAM BREAST SYSTEM. It works amazing!! After 3 pregnancies, my breasts were huge and very saggy!! I couldn't even look at myself anymore in the mirror. I went on the Dream Breast System, WHILE I was still breast feeding my 3rd. I went from popping out of DD bra to very comfortably fitting into a C bra!! My breasts are even more beautiful than before I had my 1st. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to lift, reduce, or even enhance your breasts. (They offer 3 different programs). Check out their site -->> http://www.dreambreastsystem.com

This breast thing is really an issue. thank God mine are back after 3kids. Very interesting article

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 18 months ago

Niiyke, women are concerned about their breasts all the time and pregnancy and breastfeeding can really make them look not so nice sometimes.

I'm glad that I took care of them, so they didn't go through a major change. Which, unfortunately I can't say for some of my friends.

Yes I agree with you on building the muscle and wearing a really good bra...lol Not only for support, but the kind that has the extra padding ..lol

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 18 months ago

Extra padding can help breasts look bigger when they shrink after breastfeeding.

At least something lol

Its really an informative hub,I m still breastfeeding my toddler and trying to wean,I was looking for such informations!...I relly had a very attractive pair of tight breasts before pregnancy. I know it will work for me as I m already in shape after two yr breastfeeding....

But its also true that it varies. Every woman has got their own structure, all dont have the same. When a woman gain some weight, some specific parts of her body shows the signs by adding fat their. When I gain weight my face and breast get fat first. thats why I hope after weaning my breast will get tight again. Loose skin is a common reason of saggy breasts. I know many virgin galz having saggy breasts only due to loose skin. So I want to say to the galz out their, having loose skin...u should work out on it. And dont try to loose weight rapidly and if u want to loose weight, should do it very planwise so that the loose skins of ur breasts can get enough time to be tone up.

All the women out their wish u all the best and thank you emma!!!

Priyanka ahmed83, thank you for your nice comment. I hope you breasts will look just like you would like them to look when you stop breastfeeding. When you are aware of those thing, than getting your body in shape shouldn't be so hard, right? :o)

cristina 14 months ago

well i hope it works cause im friking out about how im gonna look after the baby comes i almost dont want the baby anymore because of it it sucks i have nightmares

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 14 months ago

cristina, having a baby, holding it in your arms and breastfeeding it is the most wonderful thing any woman can experience. Everything else it less important.

But, when the baby gets older and you stop breastfeeding, there are lots of things you can do to make your breasts look nice and wonderful again. It all deoends on how much time you spend taking care of your body and how willing you are to look sttractive again, despite having so little time on your disposal and being a mother all the time.

breastfeeding is such a wonderful bonding experience with your child it is worth the side effects, but if i can reverse theem with these tips that would be great too!

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 13 months ago

jaclyn8668, I agree with you, there is nothning like breastfeeding your child. But, when you stop breastfeeding and you start looking at yourself as a woman and not only a mother, why not do something to make that picture better? :o))

Breast Reduction Sydney 13 months ago

A fantastic hub. There's nothing better than natural breasts that do not sag. Another option if all else fails is to have breast reduction surgery. It is not actually that extreme and is becoming more and more common with women suffering from saggy breasts after pregnancy.

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 13 months ago

Yes, that can also be an option. Why not? If natural methods don't bring satisfying results, cosmetic surgery can help.

It all depends on how big the breasts are and if they need minor or major repairs. :o))

Ashi 13 months ago

After reading this article I've found hope that my breast would be firm again... It has been 2 years since I stopped breastfeeding my child, believe me I've tried many products but still the same saggy breast.. I'll change the strategy now.. do u think breast enhancing pills work?

Thanx for helping us out:)

EmmaMedu profile image

EmmaMedu Hub Author 13 months ago

Ashi, I hope the different approach will help you have nicer breasts and better looks.

I've been doing some exercises lately, just minor ones and I can see the improvement.

I haven't tried breast enhancing pills, so I really can't say if they help or not...

This Hub does make some since but however its highly incorrect. I am 23 years old, was 21 when i got pregnant with my son. I was 123 lbs when i got pregnant and while in labor i was only 146. my bra size was 28DD before. I gained hardly anyweight. Now that i have had my son,and 10 months to get off the weight. I only weigh 103 now, and my bra size stayed at 28G! massive. they are no longer firm. they hang way to low and im very unhappy - i have tried everything and talked to doctors. The only way of fixing the sagging is a reduction/lift -

Thank you everyone for your comments and questions.

I went through another pregnancy in the meantime and my breats also went through a change.

So, I can suggest foods that contain vitamin E (all kinds of seeds) or vitamin E supplements. Vitamin E makes the skin looks younger.

Body lotions made especially for breasts area are also good, they should be applied every day if possible. If you are still breastfeeding do this when you stop.

A good bra that keeps your breasts up is also recommended.

all these are small things but combined together can improve the looks of your breasts.
